Winner: Isabelle Côté, Memorial University of Newfoundland

Excerpt from jury report: Isabelle Côté has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to teaching and learning. She has engaged her students in the discipline by developing undergraduate research opportunities, supporting student-run conferences, designing writing and professional development workshops, and co-publishing with students. Côté has been a driving force in the development of mentorship programs and graduate curriculum design, and has an extensive record of Master’s and Honours supervisions. She developed assessment practices designed to recognize student diversity. Students and colleagues attest to Isabelle Côté’s passion and enthusiasm for teaching.
