Students’ Caucus

Welcome to the CPSA Student Caucus

The Student Caucus represents all graduate and undergraduate members of the Canadian Political Science Association (CPSA). It provides a space where students can:

  • Showcase their research through CPSA conferences and activities.
  • Connect with peers and mentors across Canada.
  • Access career resources and learn from practitioners about diverse professional pathways.
  • Shape the CPSA agenda by sharing their priorities, interests, and concerns.

As the Student Representative on the CPSA Board of Directors, I work to ensure that student voices are represented in all aspects of the Association. I also collaborate with CPSA’s Practitioner Representative, Dr. Josée Bergeron, to develop activities that bridge academic and professional communities.

Upcoming Student Caucus Activities

  • Annual Student Caucus Meeting at the CPSA Conference – an open forum for students to network, share priorities, and set future goals. This year’s event is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, from 12:00 – 1:30 pm.
  • Workshops, mentoring, and professional development opportunities led by experienced scholars and practitioners.

Resources for Students

  • Social media: Follow the CPSA on Twitter/X, Bluesky, and Instagram for news, events, and opportunities.
  • Job postings: Political science job opportunities are shared on POLCAN2, Twitter/X, and Bluesky.

Get Involved

Your input is vital! Reach out if you have ideas for programming, questions about the Association, or if you’d like to be more involved in shaping the student community within CPSA.
